Learning Overview

The Personal Information Protection Act requires that the law be reviewed every three years to ensure that it remains in line with current circumstances and technology advancements. In accordance with this provision, the Act was amended in June 2020.
This amendment reviewed the content in six main areas, taking into consideration the increased awareness of personal information and the balance between protection and utilization in light of technological innovations.
Some of the changes have already been implemented, with full implementation expected by June 2022.
