Customer Requests Received

NIPPON DENSETSU KOGYO CO.,LTD. has been expanding its business nationwide from Hokkaido to Kyushu in railway electrical construction, general electrical construction, and information and communication construction. Employee education is conducted at a training facility called Chuo Gakuen in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, but they were considering introducing e-learning to expand educational opportunities for over 2,000 employees nationwide and to integrate with the training history and human resources system.

Received an inquiry for e-learning content through Human Science's website in January 2010.
The planned production of materials is 20 in the first year. The content will cover Nippon Densetsu Kogyo's unique topics such as accident prevention, technology and skills, and business procedures, as well as general topics such as cost management and sales etiquette.

Points of Proposal

Human Science Co., Ltd. proposes "visual production type" and "animation explanation type" contents to enhance understanding for learning "business procedures" and "prevention of recurrence of accidents". We have also received high evaluations for creating communication construction contents using the same method, and have been commissioned after going through a competition with 8 companies. We have created a total of over 100 teaching materials since 2010.

Production using video

We have proposed the use of video as a suitable expression for teaching materials focused on technical and skill-related content, such as operation procedures and equipment explanations, which are necessary at construction sites.

Animation Production

We proposed using "animation explanation type" content that makes it easy to understand and explain the flow and rules of work in learning materials such as "construction estimates", "cost management", and "safety rules".

Point03.

Totara Learn LMS System Construction and Operation

A few years after the start of e-learning operations, we were asked to make changes to the e-learning system (LMS).

We proposed the open source LMS Totara Learn from our company.
As a result of the three-company competition,
・Totara is customizable
・The introduction and operation costs are reasonable
・You can request course creation to LMS one-stop
We received high evaluations for these points and decided to introduce it. In 2017, we implemented LMS replacement (LMS construction, data conversion), and we continue to operate it as of 2020.

Human Science Co., Ltd. has created over 100 teaching materials so far.

Our instructional material creators are responsible for creating and checking materials while juggling their original duties. Sometimes, it can be very difficult to stick to the schedule, especially during busy periods. However, the staff at Human Science Co., Ltd. always greets us with a smile and provides polite support. They also accurately understand the situation and lead our company, ensuring that deadlines are met by reminding us of them. Their management skills are truly exceptional.

We have been working on multiple materials at the same time, so we have been supported by multiple staff members. However, all of them have been very quick to respond and have been able to create more than what we requested without needing detailed explanations. We are extremely grateful for their work.

In addition, in the previous LMS, the test score management and course history management functions were not sufficient, but since switching to Totara, it has been possible to customize and improve them.

We will continue to develop teaching materials in the future, and we hope that you will continue to lead our company with your bright personality.

In the 2010 fiscal year, the staff responsible for creating each training material at NIPPON DENSETSU KOGYO CO.,LTD. were in a situation where they were developing e-learning materials for the first time. Therefore, "clarifying the process and roles" for each staff member was one of the keys to developing the materials. By showing the overall process and clearly communicating points such as "when and what kind of materials or data should be submitted during each process", "when is the deadline for providing materials", and "which parts should be reviewed during which period" using samples and other methods, I feel that this was helpful in this aspect.

In addition, each responsible person is responsible for developing teaching materials while having their main duties. "Reducing the burden on the responsible person" is also another key. We have improved communication efficiency by minimizing the need for meetings and utilizing emails and questionnaires. We feel that we have been able to minimize the impact on our customers' regular duties as much as possible.

Human Science Co., Ltd. will also assign multiple responsible persons, but each person has a high awareness of process management and quality control. Each person is making creative efforts and continues to release educational materials in line with NIPPON DENSETSU KOGYO CO.,LTD.'s education project plan, which I believe leads to customer satisfaction.
