Start of providing e-learning training materials on "Key Points of the 2020 Amendment to the Personal Information Protection Act"

Human Science Co., Ltd. (Shinjuku, Tokyo: President and CEO Tsuyoshi Kumazawa) has started providing the e-learning training material "Key Points of the 2020 Revision of the Personal Information Protection Act" on March 17.

The Personal Information Protection Act has been revised to ensure that the law does not diverge from the actual situation due to significant advancements in information and communication technology, with a provision to "review the content every three years from the enforcement date." In accordance with this provision, the Personal Information Protection Act was amended in June 2020.
This amendment primarily reviewed the content in six areas, taking into account the growing awareness of personal information, as well as the balance between protection and utilization in light of technological innovation.
Some of the provisions have already begun to be enforced, and full enforcement is scheduled to be completed by June 2022.

This material clearly introduces the main points of the revisions in comparison with the content before the revisions.
Please make sure to utilize it in preparation for the full implementation.
