"Points of the 2020 Amendment to the Personal Information Protection Act" Launch of e-Learning Training Materials

Human Science Co., Ltd. (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo: President and Director Tsuyoshi Kumazawa) has started offering e-learning training materials "Key Points of the 2020 Amendment to the Personal Information Protection Law" on March 17th.

The Personal Information Protection Act requires that the content be reviewed every three years from its implementation to ensure that the reality and the law are not at odds, due to the significant progress in information and communication technology. In accordance with this provision, the Personal Information Protection Act was amended in June 2020.
In this amendment, the content of six areas was reviewed mainly from the perspective of the increasing awareness of personal information and the balance between protection and utilization considering technological innovation.
Some of the content has already been implemented, and it is scheduled to be fully implemented by June 2022.

This teaching material clearly introduces the main revisions and their key points, while comparing them with the previous content.
