Background of obtaining the eLP Professional Qualification (Content Creator)
The importance of AI utilization and digital learning in educational settings is rapidly increasing. As digital transformation (DX) advances in corporate education, many people may be experimenting with the question, "Can we efficiently create teaching materials using AI?"
Indeed, AI can instantly generate a "plausible structure" and "well-organized content" with just a single instruction, but there are doubts about whether content created by AI truly has "value."
The "final piece" that AI cannot fill
AI is a useful tool, but it does not truly understand the real situations learners face or the essence of the challenges organizations need to solve. I feel that, at this point, it is still limited to expect AI to fully grasp all the contextual nuances of the field through prompts (instructions) alone.
In the coming era, to deliver valuable information in the most optimal form, it is essential to have the skill of "designing in collaboration with AI" rather than "leaving everything to AI." The ability to not take AI's answers at face value but to create more fundamental and meaningful learning—that is precisely the "knowledge" and "skills" we are required to have today.
To Develop Practical Expertise
To systematically understand the entire process from planning, designing, developing, operating, to evaluating education, I have obtained the eLP Professional Qualification as a "Content Creator"*. In this article, I will first introduce the qualification system and its benefits.
*What is the eLP Professional Qualification?
Digital Learning Consortium (DLC), a specified nonprofit corporation, certifies this qualification as proof of specialized knowledge and skills related to e-learning.
1. What is the eLP Qualification?
1-1. Overview of the eLP Qualification
For me personally, I encountered the eLP qualification when I felt the need to "understand systematically" in the field of instructional material production.
The eLP qualification is a certification system designed to develop specialized personnel capable of adapting to the digitalization of education and training.
The range of targeted skills is broad,

- ・Instructional design (curriculum design)
- ・Media selection
- ・Content production
- ・Operation and management
- ・Effect measurement and evaluation
covering the entire series of processes involved in e-learning.
1-2. Qualification System
The eLP qualifications consist of the following four levels.
- 1. eLP Basic
- 2. eLP Professional
- 3. eLP Senior
- 4. eLP Meister
Among these, the eLP Professional is positioned as the level capable of handling practical work on-site and driving projects forward.
1-3. The Seven Specialized Certifications Recognized in eLP Professional
What I actually felt after studying was that eLP is not just a qualification, but a framework where the necessary skills are organized according to each role.
Among them, the eLP Professional qualification includes seven specialized certifications.

Among these, I have obtained the "Content Creator" qualification, which plays an important role in influencing learning effectiveness. The next section will focus on introducing the Content Creator.
* In our company, there are many members besides myself who have obtained qualifications such as "Consultant," "Learning Designer," and "SCORM Engineer."
1-4. Who Should Obtain This Qualification?
What I realized while studying is that this qualification is not limited to specific job types.
The skills required vary depending on the position and role involved in education, but I believe this qualification provides common "practical knowledge useful in the field."
It is especially recommended for the following people.
- ・In-house training staff and DX promotion members
Those who feel, "I have been tasked with digitizing training but don't know where to start," or "I want to enhance learning effectiveness rather than just turning traditional training into videos." - ・Those involved in教材 creation and content production
Creators who want to create content based on the theory of instructional design (educational design) that enables learners to "stay engaged until the end and achieve results."
This qualification is effective not only for those who create materials themselves but also for those in positions to outsource to external parties or stakeholders, as well as for those who select educational materials.
2. What is an eLP Content Creator?
The reason I chose "Content Creator" from among many professions is that I strongly felt on-site how much the quality of educational materials greatly influences the learning experience.
A "Content Creator" is not simply a person responsible for producing teaching materials.
They are specialists who, based on the principles of instructional design, understand the intent behind the instructional design and concretely shape the learning content.
The main tasks they are involved in include the following.

- ・Content production
- ・Operation and management
- ・Effect measurement and evaluation
Through these, you will play a role not only in creating teaching materials but also in implementing and improving to ensure successful learning experiences.

Now, to show how these skills are actually useful in the field, we will introduce three representative cases from here.

Content creators, in particular, play an important role in supporting the quality of teaching materials and the learning experience itself.
Especially now, as AI evolves, the value of "people who can design while collaborating with AI" is expected to increase even further.
