As a tip for maximizing the use of this tool, we have compiled information on how to use and tips for Vyond Go, based on the official Vyond blog (Vyond Team: August 17, 2023).

First, we will introduce the basic steps for creating a video with Vyond Go. First, enter the prompt (instruction) and select the video's atmosphere, format, layout, and location from the options menu. When you click the generate button, the video and script will be created in just a few seconds. You can use quick editing to make adjustments on the spot, and you can also do more advanced customization.

In order to utilize text-based AI tools, prompts (instructions) are key. When creating a video script with AI tools such as ChatGPT, it becomes clear that they are quite excellent. Furthermore, it seems that in order to create even better prompts, a considerable amount of detailed information needs to be added.

With Vyond Go (using ChatGPT), you can not only set prompts (instructions), but also the atmosphere of the video, making it possible to streamline and simplify the generation process.

①Enter the instruction text for the topic (prompt)

The prompt (instruction) entered in the Topic field directly affects the generated video. The prompts entered in Vyond Go are divided into two parts.

1. Enter an overview and use AI to output results based on its vast learning data.
2. If there are specific details (such as key points, steps, etc.) that you want to include in the video, enter them as instructions along with the overview.

In any case, entering at least 100 characters in the prompt will yield good results.

Hint:

・Language used: Input in Japanese is possible. To output the result in Japanese, you must be a Professional or Enterprise user (can be selected from over 70 other languages).

・Length: You can enter up to 4,000 characters. However, if the prompt becomes too long and the sentence becomes complex, there is a possibility that the quality of the result will decrease.

・Document Structure: A structured prompt leads to better output.
Example: "We will create an L&D video based on the following text: (use bullet points to provide specific information in the video)".

・Length: Specifying the length in the prompt (e.g. "Create a 60-second video") does not currently work. However, including a longer conversation in the prompt will result in a longer video being created.

・Backed-up data: If there are statistics or facts related to the content, enter them into the prompt. This will reduce the possibility of AI obtaining unverified internet statistics (or making something up).

・Editing and Verification: Be sure to check the generated content (whether it is accurate or suitable for the learner's level, etc.).

②Setting the Vibe (Atmosphere)

The selection of Vibe affects the background music, character personality, and way of speaking.
Each of the four Vibe leads to the following results.

Hint:

・Randomly selected from a unique BGM list set for each Vibe. You can change to a different track at any time on the editing screen.

・Please make sure that the content of the instructions in the Topic field and the atmosphere set in Vibe match. For example, if you include specific information about organizational changes in the prompt, selecting "Playful" will probably not give you the desired result.

・On the other hand, if you enter a very short prompt, the generated video will depend on the selected Vibe. Therefore, if you set the Vibe to "Casual" and enter a simple prompt like "Organizational changes", the result will be something like "Hey everyone! We have some exciting news about our company!"

③Setting the Format

At the time of writing this article, there are seven options for selecting the Format. Regardless of the format, you can choose a monologue by a character or a conversation between two characters in the Layout setting, which is the next option.
Here, we will summarize the overview of each Format and the content that should be included in the Topic field (prompt) to achieve good results.

・The prompt to be entered in the Topic field is described in detail with the purpose of specifying the format in the Format field. For example, when creating a video about a product release, if "Announcement" is selected, include the date and time, product details, and contact information. Also, if "How-to" is selected, please include details of the process and steps to explain.

・When you enter a very common prompt like "bird", the Format field will determine what kind of content will be generated. For example, if you generate "bird" with "Anecdote", a personal story related to birds will be created. In the case of "Debate", it will discuss the pros and cons of birds, including their amazing abilities.

④Setting Layout

At the time of writing this article, there are two options for Layout selection:

- Conversation: Conversation between two people
- Talking head: One person speaking to an audience

The description in the Topic field (prompt) is not affected by this setting.
At the time of writing, there are a total of 55 layouts available, but new layouts will be added gradually.

Hint:

・At this time, it is not possible to specify settings such as screen background in the topic field (prompt).
・After generating a video with Vyond Go, it is possible to make various changes such as setting a different background.

・Length of Topic Field (Prompt):
The length of the prompt (instruction text) should be at least 100 characters (up to a maximum of 4,000 characters).

・Prompt (Instruction) Structure:
A properly structured prompt helps with AI modeling and results in better output.
-Example: Create an HR video based on the text below
‒(Include information for the base of the video, such as bullet points)
-Unstructured prompts, such as a long stream of consciousness, will result in lower quality output.

・Length:
The length of the video cannot be specified (e.g. "create a 60-second video"). However, adding more key points to the prompt will result in a longer video.

・Number of characters:
The number of characters specified in the prompt is not currently reflected.

・Present the facts:
If there are actual statistics or facts, please include them in the prompt. This can reduce the possibility of AI obtaining unverified internet information (or making something up).

・Aligning Points and Format/Vibe:
When including specific points in the prompt, pay attention to the chosen Format and Vibe. For example, when creating a video about a product release, if you select "Announcement", include details such as date and time, product information, and contact methods. Also, if you select "How-to", include details about the process and steps to follow.

・Settings such as Format are used to supplement prompts:
When entering a very common prompt, such as "bird", the settings in the Format field are referenced to determine what type of content will be generated. For example, if "bird" is generated with "Anecdote", a personal story related to birds will be created. In the case of "Debate", a discussion will be held about the amazing abilities of birds, including both pros and cons.

・Editing and Verification:
Be sure to check the generated content (whether it is accurate information, appropriate for the learner's level, etc.).

Of course, videos created with Vyond Go can be further edited to improve the content. So even if the expected results are not achieved, adjustments can be made to create content that meets the intended purpose.
