What happens to e-learning materials created with Flash?
When the end of support for Flash Player was announced in 2017, there were voices expecting the emergence of tools and technologies that could easily convert Flash content. Unfortunately, it seems that such tools and technologies will not appear before the end of support.
Transition from Flash to HTML5 and videos
At Human Science Co., Ltd., we have converted and recreated numerous Flash materials into formats that can be used continuously. There are several methods for conversion and recreation, but the three main ones that we primarily recommend are as follows:
Animate CC | Video Conversion | Simple Creation Tool | |
---|---|---|---|
Overview | Use Adobe Animate CC to recreate from Flash to HTML5. | Convert to video such as mp4. | Create HTML5 from PowerPoint using Articulate Studio, iSpring, etc. |
Benefits | High reproducibility | Low Cost No Need for Fla Files |
Short delivery time and low cost |
Work Period | △ 2 weeks~ |
◎ 1 week~ |
◯ 1 week~ |
Educational materials created with Flash often have complex movements and mechanisms. Instead of giving up on them, it is recommended to recreate them as closely as possible using Adobe Animate CC.
